Aubre Hill productions is thrilled to announce a special workshop with Rin Ajna right here in LOS ANGELES!!!

Sunday, February 2, 2020
12-2pm
at Fit & Bendy

Connect the Dots with RIN~
Experience an intriguing experimental-style choreography and watch it expand from just a sequence of moves into a seamless story of embodied emotion. Dancers will utilize concepts and drills to make the choreography really come to life! Whether you are looking to enrich your personal dance practice or deepen your stage performances, this balanced workshop is designed to bring out your unique authenticity in dance.

ABOUT RIN~ Rin emerges from over two decades of exposure to a diverse array of movement avenues. Having dabbled in several influences, from ballet to hip-hop to jazz, she has developed a uniquely fluid and evolving voice in dance which offers a peculiar stretch beyond genres. Rin first entered the world of belly dance in 2007 through classes at Sahara Dance in Washington, D.C. She eventually found herself learning and performing with Ebony Qualls’ urban fusion troupe, Raqs Caravan Urban. Along the way, Rin developed a technical foundation of “Tribal Fusion” style belly dance through intensive study with Rachel Brice of Portland, OR. With the intention to remain as focused and generous as her instructors, Rin now shares her own eclectic style in classes and performances.
Enthusiasm for creative projects and collaboration has led Rin to contribute choreography for large theatrical productions. Such productions include “Alice in Wonderland” and “Fantasm: Odyssey of Dreams” by Bellydance Evolution, as well as “Oceanic” and “Eternal Forest” by Electric Nomad Dance.
Rin’s profound passion for sound, paired with her music background in piano, have led her on an exhilarating path of electronic music composition in recent years. This opens a world of opportunity to experiment with her love of music and dance composition. Rin enjoys organic experimentation with flow in her personal practice. She often emphasizes “presence” in her classes to invite students to tap into their own experience, facilitating environments in which dancers can feel personally inspired by curiosity to develop their own vision.
